Course Information

Our Padi Open Water courses are $300.00 or $1699.00 for all equipment including the course (tanks not included) - You can download the below information as a PDF here.

We have been continually running the Padi courses for over twenty five years.   The people that who work in the shop are instructors so if there are any questions during the course all you have to do is either  ring us up or just pop into the shop.

This cost includes:

  • theory book and dive tables
  • three theory lessons
  • confined water lessons
  • Four open water dives
  • Including two boat dives
  • We also provide a regulator, buoyancy control device, tanks and weightbelt for the course.

The course runs over a two week period..
First week is Monday and Thursday nights between 5:30 and 7:30 in the shop for theory and then Saturday and Sunday at tinderbox between 8:30 and 12:30 for your practical.
Second week is Monday night for your theory and Sunday for your final practical lessons
The boat dives are around the north end of Bruny Island or the Tinderbox area.

What you need to provide (If you do not already have any this equipment we can hire it to you for $55.00):

  • Boots
  • Gloves
  • Mask
  • Snorkel
  • Fins
  • 7mm Wetsuit

If you are looking at purchasing any gear you will receive a discount of approx 10%  when you buy gear from us.

For only $1799.00 you get mask, snorkel, wetsuit, boots, gloves, fins, weightbelt, regulators, gauges and BC jacket and don’t forget the dive course is included too.

After the course is finish we  run regular boat dives for as  little as $35.00 for two dives.
